Birch Run Panthers (Birch Run, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bridgeport Bearcats (Bridgeport, MI), 35-33 in a league bout.

With the win, Birch Run upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Panthers travel to Lakeville (Otisville, MI) to play the Falcons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Bearcats play the Powers Catholic Chargers (Flint, MI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Bridgeport will attempt to upgrade on its 0-6 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 6-3 record after their 40-35 non-league loss to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, MI).
