In Thursday's league outing, the Monta Vista Matadors (Cupertino, CA) basketball squad edged the visiting Cupertino Pioneers (Cupertino, CA), by a margin of 52-48.
The Matadors (10-3) will now prepare for their outing against Lynbrook (San Jose, CA). The Vikings go into the outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Lynbrook held off Fremont (Sunnyvale, CA), 56-48, in a league outing.
The Pioneers now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Kathleen MacDonald for a bout on Tuesday, January 16. Cupertino will play a Condor squad coming off a 59-32 league loss to Homestead (Cupertino, CA). The Condor record now stands at 8-6.
