Grundy Golden Wave (Grundy, VA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Hurley Rebels (Hurley, VA), 48-23 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grundy upgrades its record to 2-1 on the campaign. The Golden Wave travel to Council (Council, VA) to play the Cobras in a non-league bout on Friday, January 12. The Cobras come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Rebels play the Twin Valley Panthers (Pilgrims Knob, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 12. Hurley will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
