Pasquotank County Panthers (Elizabeth City, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Manteo Redskins (Manteo, NC), 36-31 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Pasquotank County upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to play the Nighthawks in a non-league bout on Friday, January 19. The Nighthawks come into the bout with a record of 5-4.

Next up, the Redskins play the Northeastern Eagles (Elizabeth City, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 16. Manteo will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 7-0 record after their 51-23 non-league win over South Central (Winterville, NC).
