Texas High School Basketball - Aledo triumphant over Azle

The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the visiting Azle Hornets (Azle, TX), observed Aledo's basketball team overwhelm Azle by a score of 81-59.

The Bearcats (21-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears come into the 5A Region I District 5 challenge with a 14-12 record. In their last challenge, Brewer trounced Azle (Azle, TX), 60-48, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hornets battle the Chisholm Trail Rangers (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region I District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Azle will attempt to improve on its 10-17 season record. The Rangers come into the challenge with a 15-7 record after their 42-40 league win over Granbury (Granbury, TX).
