The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX) and the visiting Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX), observed Bloomburg's basketball team overwhelm Avinger by a margin of 57-30.

The Wildcats (3-13) will now prepare for their challenge against Avery (Avery, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region III District 20 challenge with a 13-11 record. In their last challenge, Avery trounced CHAAMP HomeSchool (Mt. Pleasant, TX), 49-44, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Avinger will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 8-13 record after their 45-39 league win over Union Hill (Gilmer, TX).
