Florida High School Basketball - Union County thwarts Branford

January 11, 2025: Lake Butler, FL 32054

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Union County Fightin' Tigers (Lake Butler, FL) and the visiting Branford Buccaneers (Branford, FL), observed Union County's basketball team knock off Branford by a score of 67-47.

The Fightin' Tigers (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Keystone Heights (Keystone Heights, FL). The Indians come into the non-league challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, Keystone Heights was knocked off by Ridgeview (Orange Park, FL), 63-43, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Buccaneers encounter the Hamilton County Trojans (Jasper, FL) in a Rural District 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Branford will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 4-10 record after their 80-30 non-league win over Corinth Christian Academy (Jasper, FL).
