The Spartans (21-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Burleson (Burleson, TX). The Elks come into the 5A Region I District 8 challenge with a 17-10 record. In their last challenge, Burleson was tipped by Seguin (Arlington, TX), 62-50, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Owls battle the Everman Bulldogs (Everman, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Joshua will attempt to improve on its 11-14 season record.
