The Chevak Comets (Chevak, AK) basketball toppled the host Hooper Bay Warriors (Hooper Bay, AK), 64-50 in Saturday's non-league bout.

The Comets now possess a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Minto for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 11. Chevak will play a Lakers team coming off a 65-62 non-league loss to Effie Kokrine Charter (Fairbanks, AK). The Lakers record now stands at 4-2.

With the loss, Hooper Bay falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Unalakleet (Unalakleet, AK) to play the Wolfpack in a 2A Northwest bout on Friday, February 14. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a record of 4-1.
