In Saturday's non-league contest, the visiting Woodward Boomers basketball team scored a good 71-58 triumph over the Cushing Tigers.
The Boomers (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Clinton (Clinton, OK). The Red Tornadoes go into the non-league contest with a 4-8 record. In their last contest, Clinton was topped by Anadarko (Anadarko, OK), 48-29, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Tigers confront the Berryhill Chiefs (Tulsa, OK) in a Tulsa Seven contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Cushing will attempt to better on its 10-4 season record. The Chiefs go into the contest with a 6-4 record after their 68-60 non-league loss to Skiatook (Skiatook, OK).
