Nevada High School Basketball - Elko can't hold off Dayton

Dayton Dust Devils (Dayton, NV) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Elko Indians (Elko, NV), 32-29 in a league match.

With the victory, Dayton advances its record to 11-4 on the year. The Dust Devils travel to Lowry (Winnemucca, NV) to face the Buckaroos in a 3A Northern - East match on Friday, January 17. The Buckaroos enter the match with a record of 6-9. Lowry won 65-63 in their recent league match against Churchill County (Fallon, NV)

The Indians now own a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Spring Creek for a 3A Northern - East match on Thursday, January 16. Elko will face a Spartans squad coming off a 59-44 league win over Fernley (Fernley, NV). The Spartans record now stands at 12-5.
