Declo Hornets (Declo, ID) supporters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Malad Dragons (Malad, ID), 55-51 in a league match.
With the victory, Declo advances its record to 11-0 on the year. The Hornets host West Side (Dayton, ID) to face the Pirates in a 3A South East Idaho match on Thursday, January 16. The Pirates enter the match with a record of 10-2. West Side won 70-46 in their recent league match against Wendell (Wendell, ID)
The Dragons now own a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Grace for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 15. Malad will face a Grizzlies squad coming off a 54-49 non-league loss to Soda Springs (Soda Springs, ID). The Grizzlies record now stands at 5-7.
