In Saturday's league test, the Eureka Vandals (Eureka, NV) basketball squad defeated the host Owyhee Braves (Owyhee, NV), by a score of 58-40.
Next, the Vandals clash with the Lund Mustangs (Lund, NV) in a 1A East test, on Tuesday, January 14. Eureka will attempt to improve on its 8-5 season record. The Mustangs come into the test with a 8-11 record after their 52-31 league win over Carlin (Carlin, NV).
The Braves (1-12) will now prepare for their test against Independence (Elko, NV). The Colts come into the 1A East test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Independence overcame Wells (Wells, NV), 51-39, in a non-league test.
