The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Grants Pirates (Grants, NM) and the host Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM), observed Grants's basketball team overwhelm Gallup by a score of 69-46.
The Pirates (6-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM). The Huskies come into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Hope Christian trounced Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM), 66-59, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Bengals encounter the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Gallup will attempt to improve on its 6-8 season record.
