    The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Presque Isle Wildcats (Presque Isle, ME) and the host Hermon Hawks (Hermon, ME), observed Presque Isle's basketball team edge Hermon by a score of 39-36.

    The Wildcats (8-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Orono (Orono, ME). The Riots come into the B North challenge with a 7-5 record. In their last challenge, Orono edged Mount Desert Island (Mount Desert, ME), 61-55, in a league challenge.

    In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Ellsworth Eagles (Ellsworth, ME) in a B North challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Hermon will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 61-47 league win over Houlton (Houlton, ME).
