Texas High School Basketball - Sherman trounced by Lovejoy

The Sherman Bearcats basketball squad (Sherman, TX), was crushed 81-47 in Saturday's league battle with the visiting Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX)

With the victory, Lovejoy advances its record to 19-5 on the year. The Leopards travel to Anna (Anna, TX) to meet the Coyotes in a 5A Region II District 9 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Coyotes enter the battle with a record of 8-16. Anna lost 69-46 in their recent league battle against Denison (Denison, TX)

The Bearcats now hold a 8-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host McKinney North for a 5A Region II District 9 test on Tuesday, January 14. Sherman will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 44-43 league win over Greenville (Greenville, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-11.
