The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Warrior Run Defenders (Turbotville, PA) and the visiting Mifflinburg Wildcats (Mifflinburg, PA), observed Warrior Run's basketball team knock off Mifflinburg by a score of 69-60.

The Defenders (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Hughesville (Hughesville, PA). The Spartans come into the Heartland III challenge with a 2-11 record. In their last challenge, Hughesville was knocked off by South Williamsport (South Williamsport, PA), 76-68, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats encounter the Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA) in a Heartland I challenge, on Monday, January 13. Mifflinburg will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 11-2 record after their 71-44 league win over Jersey Shore (Jersey Shore, PA).
