The Mt. Zion Braves basketball squad (Mt. Zion, IL), was nudged 65-60 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL)
With the victory, Moline advances its record to 15-3 on the year. The Maroons host Quincy (Quincy, IL) to meet the Blue Devils in a Western Big 6 battle on Tuesday, January 14. The Blue Devils enter the battle with a record of 15-1. Quincy won 80-56 in their recent non-league battle against Springfield (Springfield, IL)
The Braves now own a 12-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Charleston for a Apollo battle on Thursday, January 16.
