The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Orono Riots (Orono, ME) and the visiting Mount Desert Island Trojans (Mount Desert, ME), observed Orono's basketball team edge Mount Desert Island by a score of 61-55.

The Riots (7-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Presque Isle (Presque Isle, ME). The Wildcats come into the B North challenge with a 8-4 record. In their last challenge, Presque Isle edged Hermon (Hermon, ME), 39-36, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the John Bapst Memorial Crusaders (Bangor, ME) in a B North challenge, on Wednesday, January 15. Mount Desert Island will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a 3-5 record after their 63-60 league win over Washington Academy (East Machias, ME).
