In Saturday's league challenge, the visiting Wheeler County Bulldogs basketball team scored a good 54-37 win over the Telfair County Trojans.

The Bulldogs (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Wilcox County (Rochelle, GA). The Patriots come into the A D2 Region 4 challenge with a 2-9 record. In their last challenge, Wilcox County dropped by Dodge County (Eastman, GA), 74-59, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Telfair County will attempt to improve on its 0-9 season record. The Pirates come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 66-34 league loss to Crisp County (Cordele, GA).
