Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the visiting Jesuit Tigers (Tampa, FL), 48-40 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Vanguard advances its record to 9-1 on the year. The Knights travel to Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Monday, January 13. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 0-1.

The Tigers now own a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host IMG Academy for a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. Jesuit will face a Ascenders squad coming off a 31-29 non-league loss to Cardinal Mooney (Sarasota, FL). The Ascenders record now stands at 3-1.
