The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Estancia Bears (Estancia, NM) and the visiting Capitan Tigers (Capitan, NM), observed Estancia's basketball team overcome Capitan by a margin of 48-37.

In their next game, the Tigers battle the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Capitan will attempt to better on its 3-10 season record. The Steers come into the challenge with a 12-4 record after their 45-43 non-league loss to Jal (Jal, NM).
