The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Lund Mustangs (Lund, NV) and the host Carlin Railroaders (Carlin, NV), observed Lund's basketball team edge Carlin by a margin of 30-28.
The Mustangs (5-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Eureka (Eureka, NV). The Vandals come into the 1A East challenge with a 11-2 record. In their last challenge, Eureka edged Owyhee (Owyhee, NV), 29-17, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Railroaders battle the Wells Leopards (Wells, NV) in a 1A East challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Carlin will attempt to better on its 5-7 season record. The Leopards come into the challenge with a 11-5 record after their 52-48 league loss to McDermitt (McDermitt, NV).
