The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Liberty Redhawks (Frisco, TX) and the visiting Emerson Mavericks (McKinney, TX), observed Liberty's basketball team overwhelm Emerson by a margin of 58-27.

The Redhawks (15-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Frisco (Frisco, TX). The Raccoons come into the 5A Region II District 11 challenge with a 2-20 record. In their last challenge, Frisco was trounced by Memorial (Frisco, TX), 71-22, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Mavericks battle the Heritage Coyotes (Frisco, TX) in a 5A Region II District 11 challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Emerson will attempt to better on its 13-12 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 12-15 record after their 56-47 league win over Centennial (Frisco, TX).
