The crowd at Saturday's league challenge between the Sam Houston Texans (Arlington, TX) and the visiting Grand Prairie Gophers (Grand Prairie, TX), observed Sam Houston's basketball team overwhelm Grand Prairie by a margin of 45-15.

The Texans (9-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Martin (Arlington, TX). The Warriors come into the 6A Region I District 8 challenge with a 9-15 record. In their last challenge, Martin was trounced by South Grand Prairie (Grand Prairie, TX), 63-36, in a league match.

The Gophers now own a 0-20 record. They put it on the line next when they host Arlington for a 6A Region I District 8 match on Tuesday, January 14. Grand Prairie will face a Colts squad coming off a 56-36 league loss to Lamar (Arlington, TX). The Colts record now stands at 13-12.
