Texas High School Basketball - Union Grove overwhelms Ore City

The Union Grove Lions basketball team scored 58 points and limited the host Ore City Rebels to 13 in the Lions league triumph on Saturday.

The Lions now have a 15-10 record. They play next when they travel to McLeod for a 2A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, January 14. Union Grove will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 35-24 league win over Ore City (Ore City, TX). The Longhorns record now stands at 12-14.

With the loss, Ore City falls to 1-21 on the campaign. The Rebels host Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to confront the Hawks in a 2A Region III District 21 game on Tuesday, January 14. The Hawks go into the game with a record of 17-1. Hawkins won 72-21 in their recent league game against Linden-Kildare (Linden, TX)
