Kansas High School Basketball - Southwestern Heights held off by Wichita County

In Saturday's league test, the Wichita County Indians (Leoti, KS) basketball squad got by the host Southwestern Heights Mustangs (Kismet, KS), by a score of 42-40.

Next, the Indians encounter the Cheylin Cougars (Bird City, KS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, January 14. Wichita County will attempt to improve on its 9-0 season record. The Cougars come into the test with a 7-1 record after their 51-27 league win over Northern Valley (Almena, KS).

The Mustangs (7-2) will now prepare for their test against Meade (Meade, KS). The Buffaloes come into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Meade held off Ashland (Ashland, KS), 50-31, in a league test.
