The Tom Bean Tomcats (Tom Bean, TX) basketball edged the visiting Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX), 41-39 in Saturday's league bout.
The Tomcats now possess a 12-10 record. They play next when they host Whitewright for a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 14. Tom Bean will play a Tigers team coming off a 41-38 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 5-6.
With the loss, Wolfe City falls to 8-12 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Bland (Merit, TX) to play the Tigers in a 2A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, January 14. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 18-1. Bland won 54-35 in their recent league bout against Sam Rayburn (Ivanhoe, TX)
