Fans at Saturday's league battle between the Amarillo Sandies (Amarillo, TX) and the host Palo Duro Dons (Amarillo, TX), saw Amarillo's soccer squad prevail over Palo Duro by a count of 4-0.

The Sandies (4-1) will now prepare for their battle against Coronado (Lubbock, TX). The Mustangs enter the 5A Region 1 District 3 battle with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Coronado tipped Monterey (Lubbock, TX), 1-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Dons battle the Lubbock-Cooper Pirates (Lubbock, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 3 battle, on Tuesday, January 14. Palo Duro will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record. The Pirates enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 0-0 non-league Midland Legacy (Midland, TX).
