The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the St. Cloud Cathedral Crusaders (St. Cloud, MN) and the visiting Monticello Magic (Monticello, MN), witnessed St. Cloud Cathedral's ice hockey team nip Monticello by a final score of 2-1.

The Crusaders (8-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Mounds View (Arden Hills, MN). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 2-12 record. In their last challenge, Mounds View was nipped by Forest Lake (Forest Lake, MN), 6-3, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Magic battle the Chisago Lakes Area Wildcats (Lindstrom, MN) in a Mississippi 8 challenge, on Thursday, January 16. Monticello will attempt to upgrade on its 8-1 season record.
