The Pershing County Mustangs basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Silver Stage Nighthawks to 26 in the Mustangs league triumph on Saturday.

The Mustangs now have a 12-1 record. They play next when they travel to Battle Mountain for a game on Friday, January 17. Pershing County will confront a Longhorns team coming off a 53-51 non-league loss to Yerington (Yerington, NV). The Longhorns record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Silver Stage falls to 4-6 on the campaign. The Nighthawks host Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV) to confront the Bighorns in a game on Tuesday, January 14. The Bighorns go into the game with a record of 0-7. Oasis Academy lost 56-8 in their recent league game against West Wendover (West Wendover, NV)
