The Acadiana Rams (Lafayette, LA) basketball nipped the visiting Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA), 44-43 in Thursday's league test.
The Rams (2-14) will now prepare for their test against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Buccaneers go into the 5A District 3 test with a 13-7 record. In their last test, Barbe got by Merryville (Merryville, LA), 69-37, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 6-5 record. They play next when they host Comeaux for a 5A District 3 test on Thursday, January 12. Lafayette will encounter a Spartans squad coming off a 41-35 non-league loss to Breaux Bridge (Breaux Bridge, LA). The Spartans record now stands at 6-6.
