Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Westview Warriors (Topeka, IN) and the host Angola Hornets (Angola, IN), saw Westview's basketball squad hold off Angola by a count of 71-69.

With the victory, Westview upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Garrett (Garrett, IN) to play the Railroaders in a Northeast Corner challenge on Saturday, January 21. The Railroaders come into the challenge with a record of 4-10. Garrett won 45-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Fairfield (Goshen, IN)

Next up, the Hornets play the DeKalb Barons (Waterloo, IN) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Angola will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Barons come into the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 52-51 league win over East Noble (Kendallville, IN).
