Bellaire Eagles (Bellaire, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Forest Area Warriors (Fife Lake, MI), 59-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Bellaire upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Johannesburg-Lewiston (Johannesburg, MI) to clash with the Cardinals in a Ski-Valley bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 0-7. Johannesburg-Lewiston lost 67-56 in their recent league bout against Central Lake (Central Lake, MI)

Next up, the Warriors clash with the Moniteau Warriors (West Sunbury, PA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Forest Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 5-6 record after their 44-31 non-league loss to Slippery Rock (Slippery Rock, PA).
