The Bronte Longhorns basketball team (Bronte, TX), was toppled 37-26 in Thursday's league battle with the host Robert Lee Steers (Robert Lee, TX)

The Steers now possess a 9-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Veribest for a 1A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, January 17.

The Longhorns (13-5) will now prepare for their battle against Irion County (Mertzon, TX). The Hornets come into the 1A Region II District 11 battle with a 8-1 record. In their last battle, Irion County beat Garden City (Garden City, TX), 50-41, in a league battle.
