Coxsackie-Athens Riverhawks (Coxsackie, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Catskill Cats (Catskill, NY), 59-44 in a league bout.

With the win, Coxsackie-Athens upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Riverhawks travel to Germantown (Germantown, NY) to play the Clippers in a Section 2 Patroon bout on Friday, January 13. The Clippers go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Germantown lost 74-35 in their recent league bout against Chatham (Chatham, NY)

Next up, the Cats play the Rensselaer Rams (Rensselaer, NY) in a Section 2 Patroon bout, on Friday, January 13. Catskill will attempt to upgrade on its 0-11 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 50-42 league loss to Taconic Hills (Craryville, NY).
