Clifton Mustangs (Clifton, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Kennedy Knights (Paterson, NJ), 53-36 in a league bout.

With the win, Clifton upgrades its record to 9-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 6-6. Wayne Valley won 86-51 in their recent league game against West Milford (West Milford, NJ)

With the defeat, Kennedy moves to 2-4 on the year. The Knights host Eastside (Paterson, NJ) to face the Ghosts in a Big North - Liberty game on Tuesday, January 17. The Ghosts enter the game with a record of 9-1.
