Idaho High School Basketball - Council trounces Salmon River

The Council Lumberjacks (Council, ID) basketball crushed the visiting Salmon River Savages (Riggins, ID), 74-33 in Thursday's league test.
The Lumberjacks (7-4) will now prepare for their test against Horseshoe Bend (Horseshoe Bend, ID). The Mustangs go into the 1A Long Pin test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Horseshoe Bend walloped Cascade (Cascade, ID), 43-41, in a league test.
The Savages now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Garden Valley for a 1A Long Pin test on Saturday, January 14. Salmon River will encounter a Wolverines squad coming off a 63-44 league win over Cascade (Cascade, ID). The Wolverines record now stands at 8-5.
