New Providence Pioneers (New Providence, NJ) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Dayton Bulldogs (Springfield, NJ), 66-41 in a league bout.

With the win, New Providence upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Pioneers travel to South Plainfield (South Plainfield, NJ) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 16. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 8-2. South Plainfield lost 50-45 in their recent non-league bout against North Brunswick (North Brunswick, NJ)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Abraham Clark Rams (Roselle, NJ) in a Union County bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Dayton will attempt to upgrade on its 3-7 season record.
