Hartshorne Miners (Hartshorne, OK) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Stigler Panthers (Stigler, OK), 45-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Hartshorne upgrades its record to 1-4 on the campaign. The Miners host Pocola (Pocola, OK) to play the Indians in a Black Diamond bout on Friday, January 13. The Indians come into the bout with a record of 5-5. Pocola won 62-43 in their recent league bout against Stigler (Stigler, OK)

Next up, the Panthers play the Heavener Wolves (Heavener, OK) in a Black Diamond bout, on Friday, January 13. Stigler will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Wolves come into the bout with a 10-1 record after their 58-41 league win over Talihina (Talihina, OK).
