Sterling Heights Stallions (Sterling Heights, MI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hazel Park Vikings (Hazel Park, MI), 76-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Sterling Heights upgrades its record to 2-6 on the season. The Stallions host Avondale (Auburn Hills, MI) to clash with the Yellowjackets in a non-league bout on Friday, January 13. The Yellowjackets go into the bout with a record of 3-7. Avondale lost 48-32 in their recent non-league bout against Seaholm (Birmingham, MI)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Center Line Panthers (Center Line, MI) in a Macomb Area - Bronze bout, on Wednesday, January 18. Hazel Park will attempt to upgrade on its 1-7 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 65-50 non-league win over Lake Shore (St. Clair Shores, MI).
