The Lennox Orioles basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Vermillion Tanagers to 52 in the Orioles league triumph on Thursday.
The Orioles now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chamberlain for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Lennox will battle a Cubs team coming off a 58-42 league win over Bon Homme (Tyndall, SD). The Cubs record now stands at 4-4.
The Tanagers (3-6) will now prepare for their contest against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD). The Huskies enter the A Region 4 contest with a 8-1 record. In their last contest, Elk Point-Jefferson ran past Ponca (Ponca, NE), 54-46, in a non-league contest.
