The Montabella Mustangs (Blanchard, MI) basketball crushed the visiting Merrill Vandals (Merrill, MI), 76-39 in Thursday's league test.

The Mustangs (7-1) will now prepare for their test against Vestaburg (Vestaburg, MI). The Wolverines go into the Mid-State test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Vestaburg was trounced by Shepherd (Shepherd, MI), 54-45, in a non-league test.

The Vandals now own a 1-6 record. They play next when they host Lakeview for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 18. Merrill will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 62-30 non-league loss to Reed City (Reed City, MI). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-6.
