The Valley Central Vikings basketball team (Montgomery, NY), dropped 58-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Middletown Middie Bears (Middletown, NY)
The Middie Bears now sport a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monroe-Woodbury for a Section 9 Orange County I battle on Saturday, January 14. Middletown will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 71-52 league loss to Newburgh Free Academy (Newburgh, NY). The Crusaders record now stands at 6-3.
The Vikings (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 2-7 record. In their last battle, Minisink Valley dropped by Cornwall Central (New Windsor, NY), 59-33, in a league battle.
