Moravia Mohawks (Moravia, IA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Wayne Falcons (Corydon, IA), 75-66 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Moravia upgrades its record to 9-0 on the season. The Mohawks travel to Mormon Trail (Garden Grove, IA) to clash with the Saints in a Bluegrass bout on Friday, January 13. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 6-2. Mormon Trail lost 68-62 in their recent non-league bout against Ankeny (Ankeny, IA)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Southwest Valley (Corning, IA) in a Pride of Iowa bout, on Friday, January 13. Wayne will attempt to upgrade on its 5-7 season record. The go into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 63-57 non-league loss to Stanton (Stanton, IA).
