The North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] Comets topped the visiting St. John Woodchucks basketball team by a final score of 62-50 in Thursday's league battle.
The Comets now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Midway/Minto for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 14. North Prairie co-op [Rolette/Wolford/Rolla] will battle a Mustangs team coming off a 49-47 league win over Cavalier (Cavalier, ND). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-1.
The Woodchucks (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina-Neche] (Walhalla, ND). The Eagles come into the non-league battle with a 1-0 record. In their last battle, North Border co-op [Walhalla/Pembina-Neche] beat Warwick (Warwick, ND), 82-50, in a non-league battle.
