With the win, Shawnee upgrades its record to 4-6 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to St. Francis (Louisville, KY) to play the Wyverns in a District 25 bout on Friday, January 13. The Wyverns go into the bout with a record of 2-4.

Next up, the Eagles play the Beth Haven Bearcats (Louisville, KY) in a non-league bout, on Friday, January 13. Portland Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Bearcats go into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 73-46 league loss to Fairdale (Fairdale, KY).
