The St. Joseph Fighting Irish basketball team (Greenville, MS), dropped 68-50 in Thursday's non-league battle with the visiting McEvans Warriors (Shaw, MS)

The Warriors now possess a 11-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Delta for a 1A Region 5 battle on Friday, January 13. McEvans will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 68-42 league loss to Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-11.

The Fighting Irish (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Central Holmes Christian (Lexington, MS). The Trojans come into the MAIS 4A District 2 battle with a 1-2 record. In their last battle, Central Holmes Christian dropped by St. Joseph (Greenville, MS), 65-27, in a league battle.
