Veritas School Lions (Richmond, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Stuart Hall Dragons (Staunton, VA), 60-43 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Veritas School upgrades its record to 5-3 on the season. The Lions host Cristo Rey (Richmond, VA) to play the Royals in a Freelance bout on Friday, January 13. The Royals go into the bout with a record of 4-10. Cristo Rey won 66-41 in their recent league bout against Church Hill Academy (Richmond, VA)

Next up, the Dragons play the Fuqua Falcons (Farmville, VA) in a VISAA Division III bout, on Monday, January 23. Stuart Hall will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
