The Berthoud Spartans basketball team scored 61 points and restricted the host Weld Central Rebels to 42 in the Spartans league victory on Thursday.

The Spartans now sport a 5-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to The Classical Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, January 14. Berthoud will meet a Titans team coming off a 49-24 league win over Elizabeth (Elizabeth, CO). The Titans record now stands at 2-0.

With the defeat, Weld Central moves to 1-1 on the year. The Rebels travel to Brush (Brush, CO) to meet the Beetdiggers in a non-league match on Saturday, January 14. The Beetdiggers enter the match with a record of 3-3. Brush lost 56-46 in their recent non-league match against University (Greeley, CO)
